Bonnet Resources was the “bad bank” created when Bank One, N.A, acquired the assets of one of the largest banks in Texas, MBank, and was the repository of all workout and ORE related assets. Statewide responsibility for portfolio marketing and sales of $200MM in packages of office buildings and retail centers located throughout the State of Texas.

Regional responsibility for a portfolio of $120MM in retail and office properties, with responsibility for managing all leasing and property management activities for the underlying real estate assets, including budgeting and lease negotiation on behalf of the landlord.

Managed a portfolio of real estate assets including office buildings, multifamily, retail, industrial and land, totaling $150MM at it’s peak. Responsibilities included hiring property managers, leasing agents and professional service providers such as engineers and architects, as well as negotiating the sale of those assets after they had been re-stabilized and readied for marketing.

District Marketing Manager 1985-1987
Responsibility for all marketing activities for the Commercial Building Division of a multi-national construction company based in San Antonio including the preparation of Bid Proposals with the Chief Estimator and the President of the Commercial Division.
Project Engineer/Project Manager 1983-1985
Initially responsible as Project Engineer for the management of all the contracting/subcontracting elements of a $28MM mixed use commercial project in Austin, Texas including a hotel, office building, 400 vehicle parking structure and associated civil improvements on Waller Creek. Ultimately succeeded to the role of Project Manager for the close out of the contract and completion of all requirements necessary to receive a Certificate of Occupancy from the City of Austin.
Cadillac Fairview Urban Development, Houston
Construction Manager 1980-1983
Responsible for the tower portion of the flagship $89MM Four Seasons Hotel at Houston Center in downtown Houston. Managed the deliverables from the architects and engineers, as well as the major subcontractors, who were contracted directly to CFUD. Subsequently managed the demolition and reconfiguration of the 400,000 SF Gulf Tower (Two Houston Center) for conversion from single tenant to multi-tenant status. Also managed Tenant Improvements for the Park at Houston Center and completed West Wood Green as Construction Manager.
Duncan Smith Company, San Antonio
Financial Analyst/Construction Manager 1980-1983
Originally hired to train as a Financial Analyst, but took over the responsibility for the completion of a historic (1879 vintage) rehabilitation of a downtown office structure to be occupied by Duncan-Smith as well as multiple office, retail and fast food tenants, including McDonald’s and Popeye’s.
